Pass Out or Present Darkness?

Finally listened to "This Present Darkness" after watching the DVD a million times. I have to say I like TPD better than POOE. Anyone elses thoughts?

Pass Out Of Excistence definitely! ;) Even though Chimaira is not DEATH METAL :-{ , nor Nu Metal :o) (they are Metalcore :D ) I think they would do a great job at the Death scene.

I think TPD has a more raw sound, and POOE brings a better production quality. I like them both for different reasons.

They are both good. It really depends on the mood you are in for the 2.

Agreed. To me TPD is a lot heavier than POOE and so If I want to thrash my head around to some mental music then I stick that on.
POOE brings across more emotions because of Mark's vocals and the more atmospheric layering on the album. The guitar sound can be heard a lot better and the lyrics are a lot clearer, which I think puts them across a lot better. Overall, I am siding more towards POOE but to me the record is a progression from TPD so they're both little gems.

easy, This Present Darkness. POOE was overproduced and i was dissapointed in the direction they were going. they steered the ship straight though with IOR.

They should of just combined both of the CDs. Mixed in the tracks from TPD into POOE. Personally i think they both sound the same.If they did do that it would of been fucking sweet.
