I got up at 10 am with my Scottish buddy to go to the gig, met up with another friend in Glasgow city and went to the offie. Got a few bottles and headed for the queue! I see these 2 gils at the gig already... I was like... "It couldn't be could it?" And It was. I met Jenny and Chelsea! (malakian and Strait Up from this forum!) They were so nice, you've no idea. Great people and very pretty in the flesh too! :D

So we're waiting a good few hours for the doors to open, making a load of friends and just having a laugh in general. I was chatting with these 2 guys from Scotland about Chimaira and LoG and they give me a can and a joint! GET IN!!!

So, the doors open and I fucking RUN to the front, I get front centre, and my Scottish buddy Dave gets beside me. I save a place for Jenny and Chelsea, they were well happy!

Chimaira:

Chimaira were up first (WRRRYYYY) and they opened with Resurrection, BOOM. It was so fucking heavy. Throughout the set, Mark and Jim from Chimaira kept looking down to me and pointing as I was singing with them . Jim was like "COME ON!!" I nearly blew my load. Mark threw the setlist into the crowd and Dave caught it and gave it to me straight away, seriously... I was nearly in tears... Thanks Dave!!

Lamb of God:

LoG were as usual fucking mindblowing, they came out with Hourglass and the crowd went nuts. Randy was staying at the middle of the stage and singing along with us, myself and Dave "sang" along with him too haha. he kept throwing us looks cause we knew the lyrics :D
We stayed at the front for the whole gig, but as soon as Black Label started... Myself and Dave moved back... for the Wall of DEATH!!!!!!!!
Holy fucking shit, it was BRUTAL. There were fully grown men, rugby players and drunk guys in it. We were battered to fuck and we battered others to fuck!!!

MH were great, my first time seeing them and I would definately see them again. Excellent band live and knew how to make the crowd move. We had to leave early though to catch the train, so we missed the last 3 songs.


...so as we leave, we decide to walk down to the back of the bulding where the busses are. And we meet CHIMAIRA AND LAMB OF GOD. I was chatting with Jim, Matt and Chris from Chimaira for ages, talking about the new album, the Chimaira forum and they were happy I came all the way from Ireland to see them. Jim said something like "Hand this guy a tissue!" I needed one!! We sang for a bit and got pictures.

Dave then tells me to RUN, so I follow him and we run around the other way and meet Willie from LoG!! Chatted with him for a bit and got a pic!
