In all honesty, I was hoping for a better line-up. Much like their last headlining UK tour, it's not quite top-notch.
I hope they come back to Belfast though or I'll be forced to hit the mainland again!
DON'T FORGET BELFAST! Northern Ireland needs you.

I don't know why people have it for us Brits: I think Chimaira have probably done overall, better line ups everywhere else, than they have here!
But nevertheless, Im just hoping that this confirmation is incorrect and that the line up is in fact: Chimaira, Soilwork and Mors Principium EST.
I officially wet myself just over the thought of that line up.

Fuuuuuuuuck! I love my Mors (she cries sporting a Mors shirt and hoodie). Liberation=Termination is by far one of my favourite albums ever and by far the best thing MPE have ever done. I really hope they don't split up and I also hope their new material will be as kick ass and heavy as the Mors I love.

In reality I could easily financially afford to go to 2 or 3 of the UK shows, but I just dont have the time or inclination to do that, thats all.

I mean't I don't spend any money on anything other than Chimaira in general!
And that's fair enough, not having the inclination to go to more than one show. It's a matter of personal preference isn't it?
There's not a single other band besides Chimaira that Im that excited about that I'd want to spend the money, time and effort, getting very little sleep and travelling for long hours to see them play 3,4, 5 days in a row.
I don't think many people would understand why we do it!
But it makes me happy so I don't see why I shouldn't continue the freedom of being able to take 2 weeks out of my life to enjoy them while I can! :D

In a way I wish I had more time so that I could go to more than one show, especially after getting screwed in the ass by the Royal Mail with the last tickets, but the bottom line is I have already seen them more than alot of fans so I am happy with that.

We definately have to meet up and say hi at the Glasgow gig. How big's the venue? I prefer Chimaira in smaller venues as the crowd is a lot more fun and they sound so much better.

Does anyone know if its true about chimaira pulling out of this? I just got this email from the UEA box office:
Dear All,
Many apologies for the informal nature of the email, but we have to get information out to a lot of people in a short space of time. The reason we’ve written to you is that according to our records you have tickets for the Vans Eastpak Antidote Tour. We’re sorry to inform you that original headliners Chimaira have been forced to pull out of the tour (and indeed all tours until Dec 07/early 08) due to personal reasons. We apologise for any disappointment that this causes, but rest assured the promoter has worked tirelessly to come up with a suitable replacement and the Eastpak Antidote Tour will still be going ahead….. Headliners on the Tour will now be Soilwork, with support now coming from Caliban, Sonic Syndicate and the newly confirmed Dark Tranquillity.
Dark Tranquillity are one of the longest-standing bands from the Gothenburg metal scene and one of the pioneers of the melodic death metal genre. They formed in 1989, under the name Septic Broiler (a thrash metal band) and since their formation the band has had a relatively stable line-up. In 1990, they recorded a demo entitled Enfeebled Earth, after which they changed their name to Dark Tranquillity. In 1993, Anders Fridén, Dark Tranquillity's original lead vocalist, left the band (he later joined In Flames) and Mikael Stanne, who played rhythm guitar and provided backing vocals, then became lead vocalist. A couple of line up chages later and they signed to Century Media Records (in 1999). Since then, the band has remained stable in its line-up and its musical style; blending layers of rapid guitar lines with harmony-rich electronic keyboard washes and extremely precise rhythms underneath Stanne's abstract growled lyrics. Having completed their latest album (“Fiction”) earlier this year, they have been touring with such heavyweights as The Haunted, Into Eternity, and Scar Symmetry….
Yours
Damon Pritchard
UEA Box Office Manager
Fuck, according to UEA's website it's true.
EDIT: I've checked chimiara.com, chimairas myspace, the tours website, the tours myspace, and all of the other UK venues websites but none of them have mentioned this yet.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!
it better not be true.. i am never going to see them.
Lame on toast
The Newcastle and London Venues websites now have DT replacing Chimaira. Looks as if this one may well be true:(
jesus f*&^ing christ :(, this is lame. Official anouncement soon I guess
if it is true hopefully the band tour next year and if we choose not to go to the eastpak show then maybe we could get let into a venue of our choice on the tour by showing them an un used antidote tour ticket

I can't believe this! This fucking sucks.
I hope everything is OK in the Chimaira camp as there's got to be a major problem if they've pulled out of so many shows.

I'll believe it when I hear an official word.
i've got a bad feeling a split may be coming :(, i mean on the dvd you saw how unhappy the vibe was after the s/t record and you never know it may have got back to that state. But i am hopefull the band have put a new pic on their myspace, you would have thought they would have announced something before doing that
Rumours rumours rumours.
I am with Keef, I'll believe it when I hear official word. That means from the band.
