The MP3 Sounds fine in regards to bass and gain on my Winamp.

Problem is I mixed it using headphones cos I don't have the luxury of powered monitors to get a flat sound for EQ's and stuff so I go with instinct. If it sounds good on my Winamp that I use to listen to all my music, then it's usually ok.

I just wanted to say that I like the songs that i've been hearing so far. I do feel obligated to say one thing. I hope i don't piss you off man, but octo, i think your cover sounds good, but that's as far as i'll give it. Now i understand about the eq problems and shit (trust me, my pockets don't run all that deep either, try minimum wage with a kid, lol), and i'm with you there man, but that's not my complaint. I can stand a shitty sound, but you need to tighten it up man. I can hear that you can do better bro. Like i said, i hope i don't piss you, or anyone else that loves your cover, off. The solo, it's real good, better than i could do, lol, but I can hear a few spots where you fall out of time with a slide, or don't get to the fret fast enough, and i'm the kind of person that can only hear slip-ups. With the drums, kudos, cause i couldn't make a fake drum sound that dead balls on to andols. I hope you take this as constructive criticism, instead of me being a dick and bursting your bubble, but keep it up man. I wanna hear what else you can shred in a kilt!!

LOL, a member since 2007, yet only now you choose to post? And about my cover? lol Very strange.

Anyway, thanks for your comments and I understand all your comments and it basically comes down to the fact that I spent so long on the drum track that I kind of lost motivation for it for a while and just wanted it done and couldnt be bothered going back to finish off the minute mistakes.

However, I have since bought a Stealth Plug Guitar Interface which means I could technically go back and record the guitar tracks using Guitar Rig if I so desire which will push the overall sound right up. We shall see.

And dont worry, I wouldn't let comments like that burst my bubble, if I did I would have given up a long time ago.

Octo did a bang up job for the time AND equipment he had at the time! He also admitted to playing in a lower tuning and NOT hiding behind any of his mistakes! For a real review of his shit you need to check out his band music as that is from HIS heart and not Rob's! We take criticism around here pretty damn good compared to other boards and our people are Top Notch!
