Welcome to Our New Home! The Band has graciously let us reside on their host and we now are under new management and THE OFFICIAL CHIMAIRA MESSAGE BOARD! We brought all of the members with us so I expect the MOST out of the regulars to make the new members feel welcome and help point out any posts or happenings that need to be addressed! THANKS!
Enjoy the Board! Sev & I are always around to ask questions or take suggestions.
With that comes some new rules and they go without saying but here goes:
No links to download any commercially available material, or discussing where to obtain such material illegally.
This new rule isn't going to be popular, but everything is going to be above board and legal from now on. First time offenders will have the post deleted and a warning, after that it'll be a temp ban, the length of which is at the discretion of the moderators. Honestly you guys who do this already do it regardless of what anyone says and we just ask that you don't do it here anymore for the sake of the band! THANKS!
No discussion of leaked Chimaira material.
With the band writing and recording over the coming months, it is an unfortunate inevitability that some material will leak out there at some point. The whole internet and it's dog may be discussing the new stuff, but not on here until we say so - which will probably be release day.
Keep your signature to a respectable size.
We do don't have any specific pixel height/width guidelines at the moment, so please apply common sense.
No unnecessary personal attacks.
We have been quite lenient in the past about this, but we will be becoming a bit more strict going forward. We want this to be a friendly environment for everyone.
Make an effort with your typing.
We're not saying you should run every post through a spelling and grammar checker, but please make at least half an effort to make your post readable. It wouldn't kill you use paragraphs and commas every once in a while.
Be careful about what you post.
This is the internet after all, so please be careful about posting personal information.

Also on another note. Mezgarth has been made Moderator.
Also Chris has admin control and im sure Mark will do soon eswell.
We currently need one more moderator and maybe another in time to come.
So will be keeping our eyes peeled

Well this is a great change. Glad to have to board merged with the official site. ? So is chimairaworld completely gone now. Being that the site has not been changed or updated. Still the monster will be back.

Well Done guys for gettting this place up and running, it is appreciated :)
Funny it took until now for people to ask what happened to me. I vanished for what, 6 months before the move? More? I took a new job and have been going on 100 hour per week programming binges. They were behind on 3 contracts and I was hired to help them catch up and get some new development started. I've already earned two bonuses and two pay raises this year by doing what I've been doing. I should break 6 figures sometime in the next 6 months or so, if the trend keeps rolling. And for a guy with no college, that's something to be proud of.
So, yeah... between that, practicing guitar, writing, moving to a new apartment, dealing with an ex gf, dating around for months, picking up a new gf, playing wow with my dad and some out of state friends and everything else... shit, I'm lucky if I can sleep 4 hours a night. Didn't seem right to hang onto the board when someone else had more time to give it.
I'll be around. I'll chat now and then, and post now and then. I won't live and breath this board the way I used to, but you'll see me from time to time.
