YES! Who cares if its been less than a month since CC9!!!

CC9 was such a huge success with lots of board members meeting up and having an all round great time, as well as Chimaira playing possibly one of the finest shows of their lives, 1ce wanted to get the ball rolling as early as possible so we can make CC10 even bigger in every way possible!

As I said previously, I will be making the trip out again and Severity is also down to make it out this year too.

I can only urge as many people, no matter how far away you are, to get saving now and get this shit rolling as early as possible. You will not, I mean, seriously, you will not regret it.

Obviously it's hard to plan for an as yet non existent gig but I am sure the band will help us out as much as they can.

Thanks Octo! Yeah I want people to save their pennies right away! This is the 10th Anniversary Christmas Show and THAT will be EPIC! I bet even the band is excited to say they have been doing these for a decade! Hell bands today seem to drop like flies and change members daily so for Chimaira to do what they've done for all theses years is something special!

My goal is to get over 40 members at this show! I'm NOT positive but I think it may be at another venue besides HOB! I hope as I have yet to see them at the Agora? Is it a big place? Anyone seen them there?

Anyway I had an amazing time with the board members last year and I would expect whoever rolled with me will come again next year! I will help anyone with arranging flights etc... so just shoot me your departure city and where you want to fly in and I will check for you guys throughout the year! Airline tickets are like the lotto in that one day it is WAY too high but the next you might find a bang up deal like Octo and I stumbled upon!

With the New Album coming out and it being SO "Groove" Riddled I feel this album will bring in the fans that have maybe heard a song or 2 and on the cuff but will take notice that the songs are more focused and just to the point! BRUTAL! I think they mentioned average length of songs is around 3:45-4:00 which means one thing! Beat you Down and on to the next one! I'm thinking an album of Pure Hatred's and Power Trip's with more technical playing from the whole lot of them! I just can't imagine what the rest of the album will sound like but Man O Man if it is as good as the song at CC9! WOW! Everything we have heard has been talking about the bands playing moving on to the Next Level and THAT is very exciting for all of us! CHEERS to 2009 taking them over the hill and right into the Fame they deserve!

So anyone going start your fund now and let's make the 10th Anniversary Show the biggest Board Member attendance EVER!

Nothing confirmed but I have it on good authority that this is looking like this date for #10 so keep that in mind but of course be aware that this is no where near confirmed and is obviously down for change at this early stage.

funny part is, before the show I didn't have the slightest clue that i already knew 1ce haha, back at CC7 i was all alone and heres this guy invites me to hang out with him and his buds and party out, had a kick ass time.. then cc9 im sitting in the hotel lobby and im like i KNOW that guy!! lol small fuckin world!

Was super kick ass that mark recognized "that guy who makes the steve shirts" lol.
ended up losing track of the group after the show, went back to the room and killed some pbrs and didnt wake up till the housekeeping lady walked in the room hahah. what a kick ass time though..

yeah bill is rather beefy, basically just listens to chimaira and lifts weights all the time haha!

yeah im definatley down for 10, god knows whatll happen between here and then but barring anything terrible im there!!

Because that is way too fucking for one on a domestic car or truck, hell the sending unit for my truck GM won't make anymore because my truck is too old, so I have to order a reproduction for it, but they don't make Sending units for a 454, so then I have to make it so it'll get enough gas to the carb, but all in all that will just cost me $125 plus tax. I mean that's really the dealer fucking you in the ass with no lube, which all they have to do is lift the vehicle drop the gas tank take the old unit off put the new one on, put the tank back up make sure all of the lines are connected, and start it up.

Because basically the problem is the float is old. I mean dude I'm just buying the unit, put my truck on jack stands high enough to where i can drop the tank modify the new unit put it on, put the tank back on check everything and lower it.

That's just the dealer trying to fuck you, and then they'll charge you owe $75 for labor and then another $50 per hour which they'll take way longer than the 2 fucking hours it should take especially if you have a lift, and all the tools you need, even with a guy that is starting out it shouldn't take more than 3 hours. I mean I worked at the Toyota Dealer ship here because of my college class helping me getting the job til I got laid off for now. I mean while i worked there rebuilding engines, which on a good day I can tear apart a big block V8 in 1 day get the part for it and the next day put it all back together and move onto the new engine, while others would probably only tear it down to the heads when the problem was in the block to get more money for the job.

It worked out somewhere between £700 and £800 or there abouts but that was without a hotel because obviously 1ce was good enough to put me up.

I've not checked yet, but I am guessing the earlier flights are booked, the cheaper they are going to be so I may book as early as possible to offset the cost of a hotel/car hire for a week as I don't want to impose on 1ce and his family again with the new baby on the way and especially as it looks like I might have to actually spend Xmas in the US if the projected date for CCX turns out to be boxing day!

Ah I see, if you are looking for a bigger truck as much as I hate Toyota the new Tundra is nice and you don't have to deal with diesel. Also has more horse power, I really find that Ford really does shitty work manufacturing their cars now days. My friends dad bought a new F150 about 2 years ago and I already had to rebuild the engine for him because the fucking rockers were fucking up on it. So I really don't trust Ford plus I've never liked them in the first place. I've always been a Chevy guy, my 85 is rusted out and shit but I made damn sure when I rebuilt the engine a few years back that it ran good. The only other person I would let work on my truck other than me, or a guy I know, is a good body guy, but those are really fucking hard to find that won't fuck it up worse or just bondo over the rust do an ok paint job and charge you 2 grand you know?

For this DVD, I think I, for one, would prefer a show covering their whole catalogue, and not just centered around the latest album, even with a few classics thrown in. Interesting question, one that I actually asked the band on the last board Q&A:


There has been a lot of demand among fans now for proper live DVD. Do you see this happening at any point? Are there copyright issues with Roadrunner that would prevent pre-Resurrection songs from being included? Where would you ideally want to film it?

As of now there are copyright issues with Roadrunner. We are filming a DVD right now, we will film those songs, if we can’t use them, we can’t use them. The new DVD will be more documentary style. There will be plenty of live footage, just not sure which songs we can use.

It's not as if other bands haven't done a live DVD with RR songs on it when they aren't on the label. Sepultura's Live In Sao Paulo is one that comes to mind, it had plenty of Chaos AD/Roots/Against/Nation songs on it (ie. the RR-era). Though they may have had a different agreement regarding the ownership of performances of the songs.

Well, it's not that I don't expect it entirely....last year, they did that combo Six-Implements thing. I'm counting on them doing something similar...maybe throwing the Heart of It All into the mix. I'd also think about it from the DVD standpoint. Many people might just skip over Implements because it's long and would not have the same driving force as some other songs. Most of the time, I notice that people are tired halfway through, but gain energy at the end of the song.

Think you might be a bit off with that with what Mark said in London in as much that they had decided how many old songs they wanted to play and there was quite a few.....of course old songs these days could include TIOR as well, but I would definitely imagine more than Severed from Pass out for sure.

I just don't think POOE songs can make it into the set. I mean, I have seen Chimaira perform some of them before moderately recently (Let Go, Dead Inside, PTWTG), but to me Chimaira is somewhat trying to phase out their first album out of the setlists. At least that's what I think. I have nothing against that album, either.

Edit: Upon second thought, I think that there mught be a decent few songs from the first album because its like a 10-year anniversary sort of thing....but I still only think a few POOE songs will make it there.

I've always said nothing will top Chimaira Christmas 6, and from looking at that set list, I'm still right.

I do remember them playing all of the self-titled album except "Everything You Love",Divinations and Silence in their entirety,and first verse of "Crawl" into another song. Night 1 closed with a cover of Pantera's "Walk" and Night 2 closed with "Implements of Destruction" with the cool snow effect. I'm sure somebody has the full sets from those nights somewhere.

I don't doubt Todd's talents at all and I am guessing since he has worked with Chimaira for so long on so many different things that they don't either.

Editing down footage is one thing. Editing it together into a seamless production and having to decide what parts out of literally hundreds and hundreds of hours of footage make it onto a DVD which will maybe last what? 90 - 120 minutes possibly? Well thats not easy even for the most experienced of videographers....

I'm just looking at it from a relative point of view, comparing to the D&D music vid, which I worked on for a solid month or so for my edit, whereas Todd did his pro one in, what, two weeks?... So, in three months, I bet the guy could do it... Dunno if I wanna put money on that bet lol, but a good faith bet, sure :) Guess we'll just have to wait n see. Already anxious for it though!

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. When I saw Chimaira at Music as a Weapon earlier this year in April, that same thing happened, and it seemed like it was a surprise to Mark as he looked over to Spicuzza. So I don't know if it was planned, or maybe one day he did it accidentally and then just keeps doing it as a joke.

yes, that was definitely the best CC ever. I remember I got so baked and when overlooked ended and they went into implements i freaked my shit. it was awesome hearing that live. I can't wait to see this years on the dvd!

Think they'll be covering the Aussie tour on the DVD? I wonder where the cutoff point is for the coverage. Especially if the label wants the DVD out around March...

Yeah they definitely put more attention towards spotlighting in this show. There's even a part in a song where they spotlight on Andols because hes the only one playing for a second or two.
